Grace Ngulube, 23

Grace Ngulube is a HIV advocate and peer supporter at Zalewa clinic in Malawi, helping young people with HIV access treatment as well as help address the associated issues affecting their lives.

As a young woman living positively with HIV, Grace is clear on her area of focus in the fight against the disease. “I would like to engage young people by organizing awareness campaigns to send out messages on where they can access youth friendly health services, and advocate for the provision of youth friendly health services in all public and private health facilities.”

Grace’s experience and awareness of the realities in her community have sharpened her focus. “There is a low level of acceptance by many parents in my community about their children accessing youth programs. There is also a notable gap in the availability of youth friendly health services information and resources for use by the youth in my community.”
